YEAR OF CELEBRATION OF 'SHASHTI POORTI' (60 YRS) OF PANDIT BIRJU MAHARAJ

• 6th and 7th January, 2003 - 'ROMEO & JULIET' ballet for the first time
  to be presented in Kathak Dance style, at Rabindra Sadan, Kolkata. The music
  has been specially created by Pt. Birju Maharaj & Louis Banks and the choreography is by Saswati Sen. (click below for detail)
  
• 5th-8th Feb., 2003- VASANTOTSAVA 2003 to be held from 5th to 8th Feb.03 at Kamani Auditorium New Delhi. Artist groups from all over India & abroad to participate. Theme for this year is PARASPAR (mutual) highlighting the integral nature of all art forms- Visual, Performing, Literary etc.

• 25th Feb.,1999-KALASHRAM celebrated 'Vasant Utsava' -Classical Music & Dance evening.
  Participants: Pandit Shiv Kumar Sharma, Pandit Rajan Misra & Sajan Misra, Ustad Zakir Hussain, Pandit Birju Maharaj.
• May-June 1998-Workshops in Mumbai(50 students), Delhi(70 students) & Calcutta(125 students)
• July 1998-Summer camp 'VIRAASAT' in Delhi ( 40 school students)
• August 1998-Choreographed special ballet "Vande Mataram' for 15th August
• September 1998-Workshop in Ahemedabad
• October 1998-Program in Bombay 'VIDHU VILAS'
• 6th November, 1998- Program in Hydrabad- A.P.Founders
• 15th Nov., 1998- Program at Srifort, Delhi with Sri Murari Bapu
• 25th Nov., 1998- Opening program at UP Mahotsava " Adaab' at Lucknow
• 30th Nov., 1998- Program at Delhi
• 7th December, 1998- Progam at Calcutta
• 10th December, 1998- Program at Mumbai ( special attraction- one part was presented with Jagjit Singh)
• December 1998- Workshop in Calcutta
• 2nd & 3rd January, 1999- Choreography & presentation of 400 students in Raichak Fort, Calcutta. Some part of music is with Louis Bank.
• 10th January 1999- 'Saptak' program in Ahmedabad
